Dr. Julia Mason, Ph.D.

Registered Doctoral Psychologist #1168

Dr. Mason is a Registered Doctoral Psychologist who received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Regina in 2021. From 2020-2021, Dr. Mason completed a pre-doctoral residency in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Manitoba in the Max Rady College of Medicine. Dr. Mason is currently registered with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists and is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Dr. Mason’s current practice is focused on the assessment and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma related disorders, anxiety-related disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and health and rehabilitation psychology. She exclusively works with adults.

Dr. Mason takes an integrative approach in her work with clients and will collaboratively work with you to identify the type(s) of psychological interventions best suited to your own unique concerns and experiences. She is trained in a variety of evidence-based psychological interventions including prolonged exposure for PTSD (PE), cognitive processing therapy for PTSD (CPT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Dr. Mason also draws on self-compassion techniques in her practice as indicated. 

Dr. Mason also enjoys helping adults overcome psychological barriers (e.g., anxiety about exercise, motivation) to physical activity. She is passionate about exercise and athletics and is a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor. Dr. Mason has conducted a variety of research looking at the benefits of physical activity for mental health (see publication list). Interested clients can request that physical activity barriers are targeted in their therapy plan.
